We're Throwing A Party With. . .Boxwood Bistro

We are so *very* excited to be pairing with Boxwood Bistro for our::: right around the corner::::10 year bash....What is a good party without some good food :)

We are so excited to be pairing with Boxwood Bistro for you all to see how fabulous their catering is! Such a beautiful place tucked away in Franklin.

We were able to speak to Carole, the events coordinator at Boxwood Bistro, to get a few fun facts + some information on all that you can find at this lovely space! Cant wait to see for ourselves :)

Tell us about Boxwood Bistro - where are you located and what kind of food is your specialty?

From choice aged steaks to low country dishes and the freshest seafood, the level of quality is constant. We feature daily specials ranging from cold water halibut to a grand veal chop with various accompaniments.

Do you do private events on site? Can bridal parties come to BB for luncheons, rehearsal dinners, etc?

Aside from the main dining room Boxwood Bistro has several dining options to help you make your special occasion a moment to remember. Our Chefs farm table will seat 10 people comfortably and can be reserved as a place for larger parties or a special themed and multi course dinner can be planned and paired with wines from our vault presented by our staff. We also have a large Private Dining Room (PDR) which can accommodate parties of 60 comfortably. Menu packages and costing details can be arranged through our event coordinator, Carole Webb (615-791-9411).

We are also the perfect location for bridal activities!  Boxwood specializes in rehearsal dinners, bridal showers and bridesmaids luncheons.

You are catering our event. What is the process for choosing food selections when serving large groups of people (like at a wedding)?

When cooking for large groups, you want to make sure and have something for everyone.  A well rounded menu will make your reception inviting for all of your guests.  Also try and incorporate fun foods that are special to the bride and groom.  I have done several weddings with these special touches.  With anything from sushi to corn dogs, your guests will get to know a little more about their host for the evening!

What are some of your favorite items on BB's menu?

I love the Boxwood Salad!  It is the perfect lunch!  Fruits, assorted nuts and grilled chicken with our homemade poppy seed dressing.  What more could you ask for?  I also love to indulge in our triple layer chocolate cake.  We make if from scratch here and it is sinful!!

{YES PLEASE from The Bride Room :)}

Tell us about the owners. We love to know the story of a small/local business.

Once John and Peggy Franks discovered the old payroll office of the historic industrial factory at Franklin it seemed a perfect venue to launch Boxwood Bistro as a dining addition to one of the best small towns in the country. After much consideration a design in keeping with the spirit of local architecture proved conducive to an atmosphere and ambiance soothing to the southern soul and tradition. White table clothes find a friend in elegance while bistro brings out the causal diner in us all. This is really who we are ... people who want something hard to find, yet, simple in pleasure.

You are a bride, too, yes? What's been the most fun part of planning your wedding?

I am a bride getting married in September.  It has been different being on the other side for once.  I work with brides every day, but to be one had to take some getting used to!  I have really enjoyed the planning with my fiance, Jeremy.  As you can imagine, I naturally want to take over the planning process, but he has taken a lot of the stress from me!!  Trying on the beautiful bridal gowns has not been too bad either!

We are beyond thankful + excited to have Boxwood Bistro as a part of our celebration :) We cannot wait to taste the food and mingle with the crew who make it all such a success!!
